Pre Prep School

Year 1

When the children join Year 1 they build on their experiences and skills learnt in the Reception year, but the topics are extended in breadth and depth to meet the needs of all levels of ability. Pupils are taught English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, RE, Art, Cookery and Design Technology by the class teacher. We have specialist teachers for Music, French and Games as we find that this helps the children to become more independent. Learning outside the classroom in our beautiful grounds stimulates curious minds and expands the children’s existing knowledge.
