Wednesdays and Thursdays are match days and we wish all our prep teams luck today as they play @westbournehouseschool , @the_prebendal_school, @lancingprep.worthing and @lancingprep.hove .
Tomorrow, it is the turn of our Year 3 and 4 pupils who had a great start to their hockey and football seasons at Lancing Prep Worthing last week. For the Year 3s it was their first match. We were very impressed by how they listened, played and displayed great DH spirit!
They played lots of small sided games where lots of goals were scored!

Meanwhile, the 1st football team enjoyed a wet afternoon at @lancing_college, winning their matches against @cottesmore.school , Lancing Prep at Worthing and Lancing prep at Hove.

Following their trip to Normandy and the D-Day beaches, Years 7 & 8 visited the @theddaystory_portsmouth. Here, they were able to tour one of the original LCTs (landing craft tanks) used in Operation Overlord, follow the story of the invasion using many of the inter-active displays in the museum and view the astounding Overlord Embroidery - an 83-metre stitched account of the events of 6th June 1944.

We love to hear news of our alumni and we know that many of our old girls and boys were thrilled with their results at both GCSE and A level over the summer.
We just wanted to share an update we received this morning from @brightoncollegeuk .
Head Master, Steve Marshall-Taylor acknowledged the fact that it was DH staff, `that laid the groundwork for all they (the pupils) have gone on to do at Brighton.`
Well done to these young people for their stellar results and to all our ex-pupils who have done so well at their senior schools.
