Last week, our Year 6 children headed to the Brecon Beacons for their three-day Leadership Trip, taking on every challenge with energy, teamwork and determination.

From exploring the waterfalls around Talybont-on-Usk and learning safe river crossing techniques, to tackling the classic horseshoe ascent across Corn Du, Pen y Fan, Cribyn and Fan y Big, the children showed resilience and maturity throughout. On day two alone, they covered an impressive 15km, sharing leadership responsibilities including map reading, compass navigation and monitoring the changing weather conditions.

Back at base, the Samurai and Ninja teams took responsibility for camp duties before evenings filled with team games, Capture the Flag in the woods, and marshmallows around the campfire.

Their final day focused on mountain safety, shelter building and fire lighting, with both teams impressing the No Limits instructors with their enthusiasm and already well-developed outdoor skills.

A brilliant few days of challenge, adventure and leadership in the Welsh mountains.

Last week, 11 DH children in Years 5 & 7 enjoyed a wonderful Orchestral Day at sunny @lancing_college 🎺🎻

Following an initial full rehearsal, the children enjoyed a superb lunch, with the tacos and chocolate pots proving especially popular, before spending time on the Chapel lawns with bubble wands ahead of their sectional rehearsals.

The day concluded with a fantastic performance for parents in the Chapel, where sunlight streamed through the stained glass windows onto our happy musicians.
