Year 5 had a wonderful time on their Leadership Trip to @pgl.adventures Marchant’s Hill before half term.

Accompanied by Mr Bardouleau and Mrs Posnett, the children enjoyed two action-packed days, taking on everything from Aeroball and climbing to the Giant Swing, Challenge Course, Zip Wire and Jacob’s Ladder.

There were plenty of opportunities to challenge themselves, overcome a few fears and work together, with the children cheering each other on throughout. After a busy day of activities, the Silent Disco was a firm favourite and a lovely way to end the evening!

We were incredibly proud of the way Year 5 represented the school throughout the trip. Their behaviour, resilience and willingness to take on every challenge were wonderful to see. It was lovely to watch friendships grow stronger, confidence build and leadership skills develop along the way.

They returned with tired legs, huge smiles and plenty of stories to tell. A fantastic two days that we`re sure they`ll remember for a long time.

Year 3 recently had a wonderful morning at @haslemeremuseum, bringing their learning about Ancient Egypt to life.

The children learnt all about mummification, tried their hand at decoding hieroglyphics and even got to see a real mummy, along with mummified cats, baby crocodiles and a hawk.

They also had the chance to handle real Ancient Egyptian artefacts, work out which were genuine and which were Victorian replicas and study X-rays for clues about how the museum’s mummy might have died.

One of the highlights was mummifying their own teddies, carefully wrapping them in bandages and adding amulets and death masks.

It was a lovely morning, full of curiosity and interesting discoveries. We were so proud of the children’s enthusiasm and wonderful manners throughout.
