At Dorset House, we aim to provide a magical prep school experience for our pupils in an environment where children are engaged, enthused and inspired. We are often described as a greenhouse not a hot house and we find that pupils grow in confidence in our high challenge/low threat atmosphere.

Our committed and talented staff foster close links between home and school and we know every child well, meaning that we are aware of any successes achieved or issues they are facing.

Our optional flexi and weekly boarding for our Prep children, promote independence.

Year 8 pupils, Chloe and Iris join scholars from a wide range of schools as they look forward to joining @lancing_college in September.
Chloe was awarded a Ken Shearwood (all-rounder) and Iris an Art scholarship.
A huge amount of preparation and hard work goes on behind the scenes ahead of these awards and so as well as congratulating the girls, we would like to recognise the staff who helped them.

Yesterday, pupils in Years 2–8 enjoyed an exciting theatrical treat as the renowned @onattiproductions visited to perform their lively bilingual production, `Shipwrecked en France.`
Performed in a blend of English and French, the play was playful, energetic and full of comedy, drawing pupils into the story while giving them the chance to hear and experience authentic French in a fun and engaging way. With plenty of audience interaction and cultural references throughout, the performance provided an immersive language-learning experience that balanced entertainment with valuable listening practice.
The Onatti performance made for a memorable and inspiring day, encouraging pupils to embrace language learning with enthusiasm, confidence and curiosity.
