At Dorset House, we aim to provide a magical prep school experience for our pupils in an environment where children are engaged, enthused and inspired. We are often described as a greenhouse not a hot house and we find that pupils grow in confidence in our high challenge/low threat atmosphere.

Thank you to @pennthorpeschool for an exciting and high scoring game of hockey at DH this afternoon. It was also extremely close - finishing 9-8!

`We have an ice cream emergency!`
These three Year 8 pupils were racing around the site this morning searching for Mr Hamblen.
When the Headmaster asked if all was well, they explained that they urgently needed Mr Hamblen`s ice cream order for a trip to see `The Woman in Black` @yourallypally theatre in London tomorrow!
(Fortunately, they found Mr Hamblen although history does not relate which flavour he went for...)

Year 4 are diving deep into their Tudor topic today with a visit to the @maryrosemuseum in Portsmouth.
Prospective parents visiting over the past few weeks have been amazed by the facts this group have absorbed already and, with a visit to @wealddownmuseum tomorrow and a very important Tudor visitor coming into school on Friday, they are set to learn much more. Thanks to our wonderful Year 4 teacher, Mrs White, who really brings history to life.
