We had 2 teams of 3 in the 1st class which was 45-50cm and I was thilled as every one of them got round a pretty up to height course with 3 out of the 6 having clear rounds. Some new partnerships, some on the lead rein and some not but really happy faces and excitement all round (especially from the parents!) These teams included Mills Sirett, Sam Crowley, Thomas Sirett, Archie Gray, Seb Scrase & Lachlan Rae. Boys on tour and Mills!

In the 2nd Class 75-80cm we had Brooke Meurer, Tilda Simpson and Jack Dace as a team of 3. Both Brooke and Jack did super clear rounds and Tilda only dropped one pole which left them on a team score of 4 faults which secured team 3rd place out of 12 teams.

Class 3 was 85-95cm and our most experienced trio of Sean Scrase, Alice Crowley and Lauren Wilkins made up the team. It wasn’t our day as both Alice and Lauren’s ponies rolled a pole and Sean’s took exception to a meaty spread fence but this is the first time we have even been able to field a team at this height in this competition and they were competing as ever against much older children from secondary schools!

There was a super atmosphere with all the children cheering each other on and helping out the younger ones in true DH spirit.

Thank you to Vicki Wilkins for this piece
