Sport commands an important place in the lives of children at Dorset House from their early days in the Nursery. In addition to playing fields, we have three multi-purpose hard courts and a swimming pool.

Team membership and an appreciation of fair play all foster confidence, self-esteem and social skills. Every child is encouraged to achieve their best and improve their motor co-ordination and skill level. Every child is given the opportunity to represent the school in matches from Year 3 and we are proud of the results achieved, often against much larger schools.

Extra-curricular sporting activities include: ballet, clay shooting, football coaching with professionals from Brighton and Hove Albion, golf, judo, riding, extra swimming, tennis, athletics, street dance and gymnastics.

The children compete in the following sports as follows:

Michaelmas Term

Football & Rugby (Boys)
Netball & Hockey (Girls)
Lent term
