Boarding at Dorset House is fun and enjoyable because children are free to experience an array of different activities with a host of friends. This helps to create our family atmosphere where everyone feels happy and safe. Children can call home in the evening and parents are encouraged to keep in contact with the boarding staff.
Our unique ethos and picturesque setting provide a haven for children to enjoy a real childhood. Our distinctive dormitories set in the eaves of our Manor house allow the children to enjoy a warm and inclusive environment where a short story may be read by a ‘gappie’ or there is the chance to discuss the latest film! A highlight of the boarding routine is our ‘buns’ time in the evening which involves mugs of hot chocolate, a bowl of cereal or a piece of toast!
Boarders can experience many opportunities to develop into dependable and sensitive young people as high expectations encourage responsibility from an early age.
